I live in Massachusetts where winters and long and cold, and I have crappy windows. The only thing that keeps us from being frozen and going broke is this 3M window film! I've become a wiz at getting it up -- it's really quite easy, and the only tip you need is to use a box cutter to take off the tape backing on each side of the window as you install the tape -- don't wait until all four sides are up.
This brand is the only one that works. I've tried FrostKing, which is the brand that Home Depot carries, and I just tried an exterior window brand from the Duck Tape people. Nieither stays up on the window. The Front King stayed up for a couple of days; the Duck brand came off teh next day. I finally ordered this from Amazon, put it up, and it's still up and keeping me toasty weeks later. It will stay up until early may when I take it off. Truly worth the money; a great product!
