I've purchased several closers of different brands, all costing more than this one, with mixed results. Three worked fine at first then developed an annoying gear noise. This closer is powerful, quiet and adjustable for both initial closing speed and closing speed in the last 5 or 6 inches of travel. I will buy more of these. Only drawback is the instructions. They are very limited. Having installed several similar closers and having those to refer to, installation went okay. Would recommend highly.
