We recently moved and ordered 4 different sets of locks for our 4 exterior doors. I ordered simple handles and deadbolts for 3 doors and then this "fancier" set-up for our main front door. Although the other products ordered worked fine, this product was completely defective and could not be installed.
My husband is extremely handy and has worked doing construction and carpentry his whole life and found this set (and the corresponding interior set) to be impossible to install.
Per his words the problems were:
-The screws that were provided did not fit the holes in the hardware.
-The strike was clamped and would not move.
-The strike did not fit with the handle set that came with it.
He ended up going to a local store in our area and buying a different (also Schlage) set and we returned this set. I would order the other handles that worked again but would not mess with the separate indoor/outdoor locks and handles again.
