Trying to save money wasn't worth it. The only benefit of buying the Dexter instead of Schlage is that they can share the same key. Otherwise...the lockset itself is very lightweight, the holes for the deadbolt AND the regular cylinder both require a larger drill-out than Schlage (so you cannot pre-drill all of your locks). All in all, I would not buy this product again - I would spend the extra money and buy Schlage or, if buying new for my whole house, consider Kwikset with titanium deadbolts.
